How Leaders Around the World Build Trust Across Cultures

Summary

Building trust across cultures can be difficult. Still, it is vitally important; when individuals trust one another, they can work together effectively regardless of cultural differences.  Based on 400+ interviews with leaders from America, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East, this research identified three key things that leaders do to build trusting relationships across different cultures.

  1. Have the right mindset
  2. Learn about their colleague’s background and culture
  3. Understand the importance of both character AND results
