Reaching the Hardest Places

The 2017 World Watch List lets us know the grim news of the latest Top 50 Countries Where It’s Hardest to Be a Christian. Driven by Islamic radicalism, nationalist politics, and economic hardship, increasing levels of persecution and violence are a daily reality for millions of Christians.

Against these immense challenges, however, countless networks and partnerships are working to address these harsh realities and engage the hardest regions of the world.

Among them are networks and partnerships whose initiatives are…

  • Shaping the lives, morals, and outlooks of the next generational leaders among these countries, drawing them toward justice
  • Bolstering emerging Christian communities to be leaders in compassion, reconciliation, and love-across-divides even under the worst of conditions
  • Connecting on-the-ground believers through carefully woven fellowships of refuge and sanctuary
  • Developing holistic care, resources, and support on a scale and level of complexity that no one organization or ministry can provide by itself, and
  • Creating opportunities for believers, churches, and ministries to connect, pray, share information, and work together for the sake of the gospel.

These stories cannot be told due to the sensitivity of the information, the risk to the courageous, the tenuousness of the situations.

But we know this with certainty. Christ’s people continue to express outstanding love and ministry to and within these Top 50 Countries through many and various Christian networks and partnerships. Through these collaborative efforts that bring to bear the prayers and resources of God’s people, God’s love and gospel is reaching millions and transforming lives.

Please pray for these unnamed collaborative efforts that represent us all.
