TedX – A 2,000 Voice Virtual Choir

Summary

During this time of enforced physical separation due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus, I want to share this TedX video from 2011 to inspire and encourage network leaders to collaborate in new and different ways.

We may not be able to collaborate and communicate in ways that we are comfortable and familiar with, but that doesn’t mean collaboration and community stops. The God-designed hunger for community and the creative desire to collaborate doesn’t stop just because we can’t be face-to-face.

Now, in this unique time of global pandemic, why not try new technologies or ways of doing something extraordinary! I urge us all to be creative and to try new things. Never have we had more freedom to experiment.

This TedX video presentation is the story of classical music composer and conductor, Eric Whitacre, who decided to try creating a virtual choir from around the world. He shares the source of his inspiration, how they did it, and the end results. He then shares a 2 min. preview of his second project, a 2,000 voice choir from 120+ countries.
